Our data analysis tool delivers high fidelity results giving you clarity and flexibility to make your decisions with confidence. Explore the benefits based on your needs…

Honesty is at the core of our values and let’s lay our cards on the table at the very start – there is no one single data solution which can be used in isolation to provide you with all the answers you will ever need. We recommend Heads Up is used as a core platform and source of risk insight – the results and data provided should form part of your decision making process, it should be referenced against what you already know and seen in the context of the risk assessment you and your staff are making.

There are platforms and solutions which do different things, which do things Heads Up doesn’t. If you want us to try and consolidate any of these into Heads Up – let us know as we are all about partnerships and communities coming together for the benefit of all.

Back to that silver bullet – whilst it remains a myth we believe Heads Up gets as close to complete risk insight as possible and what we can promise is that our solution will continue to evolve through a pipeline of additional data sources.

We have purposely developed a range of ways in which clients can access Heads Up. Whether you want API, CSV file or direct user access via our secure web server platform or several of these options at the same time, our on boarding process is quick, straight forward and compliant. There are no set up or joining fees. All training and system orientation is provided as part of our warm ‘hello’ and if you do run into any questions your relationship buddy will be there by your side to answer and inform.

And by the way, we mean it! We want to bring communities trying to manage risk together so that data can be compliantly and legally shared to enhance risk insight to a completely different level. Through cross industry cooperation, risk indicators as well as known high risk individuals can be stopped from jumping between various sectors of the economy and wreaking havoc on businesses who simply have no way currently of knowing past activity. Whilst achieving this goal we are going to make sure that the use of the personal data is always compliant and that the processing and sharing elements of GDPR legislation are adhered to so no one uses data or shares data for a purpose or with a party not disclosed at point of collection.

We therefore love to work with partners who use Heads Up and also contribute data to Heads Up. The strength of a community is in the number and diversity of its members so we would love to grow the number of partners and data contributors we have – could this be you?

The ‘Follow’ facility is the practical embodiment of our community approach – switch it on if you want to know if any of our other users have searched the same individual or search the same individual at a later date. We connect users who are interested in the same data subject leaving you to progress your dialogue in a compliant way if you wish to.

We also support communities in a very real way – 5% of our annual profit goes to our charity partners all of which make positive and transformational differences in their local communities – insert list of charities.

We are talking data here! At its core Heads Up only requires three data points to access 90% + of the insight we can offer – name, postcode and mobile phone number. We have designed Heads Up with data minimisation in mind in terms of what you give us. The limited data makes search processes quicker and easier, it is a key part of our data compliance proposition whilst at the same time if you do want to give us more that’s great and additional sources of risk insight will be available but the core capability will always only require three simple data points – name, postcode and mobile number.

We see a lot solutions which have fixed access requirements and also give a standard output. We won’t tell you what you want – you tell us. This applies to:

  • What data you want to give us
  • What risk categories and data sources you want to search against
  • How you want to access the data and platform
  • Whether you want to share your searches with other users of Heads Up via the ‘Follow’ facility
  • What data you receive following a search and in what format – this includes whether you simply get raw data, consolidated risk graded outcomes by risk category or an overall consolidated risk indicator for the whole search outcome
  • The significance of various outcomes so if we are providing consolidated risk graded outcomes (Red, Amber, Green to me and you) you define what links to a Red outcome and we implement that grading
  • How much you pay – we have a voice in this part but essentially you tell us your estimated annual volume of searches, what data sources you want to search against and we bring back a range of fee options based on what you have told us
  • How you pay – per click, annual license fee – we have a variety of options which fit with your ideal payment model

It is important that Heads Up works for your risk scenario and therefore we work together to tailor the solution so it fits you like a glove!

Heads Up can make a real difference to the accuracy of your decision making and the efficiency of your processes, returning strong financial benefit. Clients achieve cost savings through:

  • Time saved through more efficient search activity when compared to manual searches by staff
  • Better risk insight at the right time saves you wasted effort downstream as you make the correct decision, earlier
  • Better risk insight and therefore better decisions mitigate risks and drive improved financial outcomes or simply avoid the costs of making the wrong decision

However a fundamental principle of ours is that we want the solution to be low cost, it may well be cheaper than your current data solution(s) and we think you get access to a whole load more data sources. Normally you get what you pay for, with Heads Up you get way more than you pay for!

We have some pretty cool tech which sits behind Heads Up – we don’t shout about it as that’s not our style but some of the software and functionality which supports our open source data and social media profile search capability is pretty sophisticated. Bringing back links to data sources and profiles potentially linked to the individual being searched in relevancy order, this capability is focused on multiple areas of interest – criminality, a range of physical activities and leisure pursuits and social media profiles. We will be adding market places such as Gumtree and Ebay soon adding a further dimension.

Our focus is on relevancy and removing false positives – false positives means bringing back un associated individuals or content which is not relevant. The AI we use (doesn’t everyone use AI now?) and the lexicon technology applied ensure the locating and filtering of potential data sources of interest is as precise as possible. Little touches like profile images being provided on the social media results page allows for quick and easy validation of profiles if you already know what an individual looks like.

Shhhh! Can we let you into a secret? Not all the data is our own – that’s right! We partner with others to bring data sources together, acting as a hub where clients can search against multiple data sources to build up a complete view of the risk posed by an individual. To achieve this, providing you with as comprehensive a suite of data as possible, we find others with cool data and include them within what we offer.

We also love to combine data sources to enrich the quality of insight available – email validation is a prime example where a range of sources are brought together to deliver amazing insight over and above what one single data source could achieve.

Just so you know – we do have some amazing stuff and data which is ours too!

We know it sounds boring but we enable auditable, consistent compliance – we all know things get missed. Human error exists, as do time pressures and distractions as well as capability differences between staff. One of the big advantages of using Heads Up is that you know the same screening searches have been completed each and every time to the same standard.

This enables you to have real confidence that all relevant data necessary to support your decision making process has been identified. Use of Heads Up removes the risk that:

  • There is insight that you could have found but haven’t
  • Staff omit to complete some of the searches they need to
  • Search results are directly linked to capability differences between staff resulting in variance between the quality of insight
  • You cannot evidence that a compliant search has been completed as search results are not recorded nor is the search activity itself evidenced

Our studies show that where companies are conducting manual search activity to support risk screening and insight generation, as many as 25% of these manual reviews are either incomplete (against internal best practise standards) or inaccurate and have missed crucial insight or gathered irrelevant data and unnecessary data.

The MI we provide is at individual search level so you can demonstrate consistency and also feed this into your own audit and process adherence and compliance processes.

We stop you fumbling around in the dark, wasting time and leaving a trail of search activity behind you – time is precious. You need insight and appropriate data quickly. With the best of intentions staff often spend disproportionate amounts of time trying to find content through google searches or trawling through social media accounts. This activity can be hard to control and is fraught with compliance and data security risks:

  • are staff using their own profiles to facility social media searches
  • what trace if any of the activity is being left on data subjects records and profiles
  • what data is being looked at and does this fit the ‘necessity’ justification or is irrelevant or excessive data being viewed
  • what is being missed
  • what inaccurate or out of date data is being located

All of this is in addition to the simple issue of – how long is all this taking and realistically how effective is it?

Heads Up removes the compliance risk, it saves the time and it brings back consistent, high quality results all for what is a low cost search fee.

Even where search activity is being completed by dedicated or more expert resource, because of the scope of Heads Up and the single search capability we save 15 minutes of multiple search time and up to 30 minutes of time spent filtering results. For one of our clients this equated to a time saving of four staff across a full year – a fee spend of less than £15,000 resulted in an efficiency saving of £140,000!

Saving you time

Using HeadsUp a researcher can reduce their search time by 80% along with getting more detailed focused results.
